Obituary for Anthony F. "Tony" Lucente Jr.

Of Framingham, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening January 31st, 2018 surrounded by his loving family in the Metro-West Medical Center Framingham Union Campus at the age of 73.

Born on July 16, 1944 in Newton; son of the late Anthony F. Lucente Sr. and Mary T. (Rizza) Lucente, Tony was raised and lived for many years in Newton before moving to Somerville for 15 years and for the past 5 years has, resided in Framingham. 

Tony attended the Newton Vocational High School. He had owned and operated A.F. Lucente Construction Company throughout his life. He was passionate about his work and loved operating big machinery, drilling & blasting. Tony was a skilled master mechanic and had worked on the Seabrook project.

Spending time with his family & friends was the most important aspect of his life. In his younger days he enjoyed ballroom dancing and, snowmobiling and bowling. He was an amazing cook and loved making sausages.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife Diane L. (Campbell) Lucente, his devoted & loving daughters Christine M. Lucente of Watertown and Diane E. Lucente of Sudbury, his cherished grandson Joshua, and his dear siblings Martin J. Lucente and his wife Carol of Newton, Domenic A. Lucente and his wife Katie of Ashland, Dr. Rosalie Suescun of Westwood, Robert Lucente and his late wife Lois of S. Natick, and Teresa Medaglia and her husband Emelio of Rumney, NH. In addition he is survived by many nieces, nephews, his extended family-the Campbell and Martin's, and numerous close friends especially his lifelong friend Tony Bonadio.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Anthony's Life from the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Monday morning Feb. 5th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Bernard's Church, 1523 Washington Street, West Newton at 10:00 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Sunday Feb. 4th from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
