Obituary for Ronald N. Crawford

Ronald N. Crawford
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Thursday September 6th, 2018 in the Care Dimensions Hospice Home in Lincoln at the age of 65.

Born on July 18, 1953 in Baltimore, Maryland; beloved son of Thomas Crawford and Mary (Roberts) Crawford. Ronald was raised in New York City where he attended schools and graduated from the Food & Maritime Trades Vocational High School. Ronald moved to Massachusetts and lived for a period of time in Stoneham before moving to Waltham over 20 years ago.

He had a passion for cooking and worked as a chef at Babson College, and Wellesley College for several years from 1990 to present.

Sgt. Ronald N. Crawford proudly served with the United States Army for 18 years and spent several years stateside, as well as overseas in Germany, and Korea.

He loved to go fishing and had a fondness for "Snoopy" through the years. The most important thing to him in life was his family; he enjoyed every moment spent with family and friends. Ronald was known as "Jimmy" and loved to crack jokes, make people laugh and help others however he could. If he could do anything to help you, he would!

He is survived by his devoted & loving children Ronald N. Crawford II and his wife Tamla of Waltham, Matthew L. Crawford and his husband John R. Ewing of Chicopee, and Kysondra M. Crawford and her fiance' Matthew J. Sarnelli of Chicopee, his cherished grandchildren Khadia, Ronald III and Kamryn, his wife Wol Mi (Yi) Crawford, and his dear siblings Rev. Lionel L.
