Obituary for Nancy Corvini (Vellante)

Annunziata “Nancy” (Vellante) Corvini

Of Lancaster formerly of Waltham passed away Saturday morning, September 15, 2018 at the Sterling Rehabilitation Center. She was 97.

Born in Ossining, NY to the late Santino and Maria (Constantini) Vellante, she moved with her family, to Penne, Italy, where she was raised. Nancy returned to the United States in 1955 to Watertown and Waltham where she spent 57 years until moving to Lancaster 7 years ago.

Nancy will be remembered by her family and friends as a “True Italian Mother and Grandmother”. She loved to cook, it has been said that no one ever left her house hungry. Whenever anyone had a problem she would be the first one there with some food whether it was a Lasagna or a plate of cookies. She loved traveling, especially back to Italy but most of all she loved being with her family.

She was the loving wife of the late Remo Corvini who passed away last October and was the last of six siblings.

Nancy is survived by her devoted children Elisa “Lisa” Hodges and her husband Donald of Lancaster and Robert Corvini and his wife Laura (Gilroy) of New Ipswich, NH, her beloved grandchildren Nicole Marie Cargill, Marie Corvini Kett, Ashley Marie Levitre, and Michael and Anthony Corvini, and her cherished great grandchildren Philip, Kyle, Juliana, and Natalie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Nancy’s life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10 am to 12 noon. Parking attendants will be on duty.
