Obituary for John B. "Jack" Kelley III

John B. “Jack” Kelley, III

Of Fitchburg formerly of Waltham, passed away, Saturday evening, November 3, 2018 at his home. He was 89.

Born and raised in Waltham to the late John B. Kelley, JR. and Mary V. (Carroll), he was a lifelong resident of Waltham until moving to Fitchburg 3 years ago. He was a graduate of Waltham High School.

Mr. Kelley served honorably in the United States Marines Corps during the Korean War as a Private First Class.

He worked as an Electrical Technician for Raytheon Corporation in Waltham for 45 years.

In his spare time, Jack enjoyed reading, going to the race track with his brother Hank, and most of all spending time with his family.

He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline (McGrath) Kelley, and brother of the late Mary, George, and Henry Kelley, and Margaret Kubeck.

He is survived by his loving children James F. Kelley of Billerica, Martha Kelley-Mosman and her husband Mark of Cambridge, Ellen C. Newton and her husband William of Tamworth, NH, Elizabeth Kelley-DeJesus and her companion Norm Chevrette of Narraganset, RI, John S. Kelley and his husband Fred Kilby of CA, and Nancy Webber and her husband Irving “Junior” of Fitchburg and his sister Julie Dowcette of NH. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend A Funeral Service in celebration of Jack’s life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 11 am. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9 am to 11 am. Parking attendants will be on duty.
