Obituary for Bruce A. Sheffer

Of Newton, entered eternal rest & peace early Tuesday morning April 23rd, 2019 at the Care Dimensions Hospice Home in Lincoln at the age of 77.

Born on November 10, 1941 in Newton; beloved son of the late Gordon C. Sheffer and Mary J. (Keefe) Sheffer. Bruce lived the majority of his life in Newton.

Bruce attended The Price Day Center for many different workshops over the years in Newton and on Rumford Avenue in Waltham. He also took part in the Special Olympics through the years. Bruce had a passion for hand held video games and couldn't put them down once he started playing. He enjoyed bowling, family gatherings and spending time with friends and most especially eating.

He is survived by his beloved sister Rayna Gigliotti and her husband Robert of Waltham; his devoted & loving niece Dawn Duzan and her husband Robert of Methuen; his cherished great nephew Jake Glancy of Watertown and his adoring great great nephews Ethan and Logan. In addition he is survived by numerous friends that were like family within the Coyne Road Residence community.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Bruce's life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Saturday afternoon April 27th. Visitation will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel on Saturday April 27th from 2 - 4 p.m.

In lieu flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Special Olympics Massachusetts, 512 Forest St, Marlborough, MA 01752.
