Obituary for William W. Dahlbeck
Of Watertown, passed away on Monday evening May 4th, 2020 in the Meadow Green Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waltham after complications of the COVID-19 virus at the age of 89.
Born on December 5, 1930 in Boston; son of the late Henry Dahlbeck and Catherine (Scarborough) Dahlbeck.
He is survived by his wife, Eva (Leger) Dahlbeck; and predeceased by his the late wife Flora Dahlbeck (Tedeschi); his daughter Carolann and husband John Giles; his sons, William Dahlbeck Jr.; and Dana Dahlbeck and wife Janet; and William Leger and wife Terese; Grandchildren, Jason Giles and wife Julie, Nicole Velardi and husband Andrew, Jennifer Pike and husband Mark and William Leger Jr.; and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn & Gabriella
He was a long time member of the Masonic lodge in Newton, MA
After retiring from the Waltham Police Department, Joe balanced his time between Waltham and Dania, FL.
He spent much of his time volunteering with the Broward County Sheriffs Department and the less fortunate. Joe was a longtime Friend of Bill W. His volunteerism had a large impact on the many lives he touched through the years. He had a quick wit and was always good with a joke.
