Obituary for Donna Marie Blackburn (LaScola)
Donna Marie Blackburn, 61, of Waltham passed away suddenly at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA on Wednesday December 8, 2021.
Born on January 16, 1960 to the late Peter Joseph LaScola and Concetta LaScola (Postizzi) in Medford, MA.
Donna has always had a love for the great outdoors, including hiking the White Mountains and relaxing on the beach. She loved to laugh and spend time with loved ones, including her family, friends and dogs. Although she went on to accomplish many great things in life, she was most proud of her children and watching them succeed, as well as her grandson, Devon, who became a beam of light in her life. A leader and problem solver by nature, it was only natural for Donna to work for many years as an executive at Hanscom Air Force Base, where she built a successful career and many lasting friendships over several decades.
We will miss her adventurous spirit, her smile and her love!
Donna is survived by her daughter Amanda Blackburn of Waltham, her son Peter Blackburn of Waltham, MA., her beloved grandson Devon, her cousin and lifelong best friend Arlene Lanza of Wakefield, MA, as well as other family members and numerous friends.
