Obituary for Mary Elizabeth "MaryBeth" Walls (Walsh)

Mary Elizabeth "MaryBeth" (Walsh) Walls

Of Raynham, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening May 26th, 2022 with her loving family and her two loyal dogs "Annie" & "Tina" by her side in the comfort of her home at the age of 72.

Born on October 26, 1949 in Dorchester; daughter of the late James P. Walsh and Marie J. (Murphy) Walsh. Mary was raised, educated and resided in Boston. After her marriage Mary moved to Norwood where she spent many years raising her family and then moved to Marshfield and has been a resident of Raynham for the past 12 years.

A graduate of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain; Mary had been employed as an Administrative Assistant at the Italian Home for Children in Jamaica Plain.

Her family and her friends were the most important aspects of her life. She was a passionate animal lover and cared for many dogs of her own over the years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband William Elder "Bill" Walls Jr. in 2019.

Mary is survived by her devoted & loving sisters Patricia "Trish" Burgoyne and her husband the late Joseph "Joe" of Waltham; Linda Browne and her husband Daniel of Billerica; and her brother the late James P. Walsh Jr, and his wife Anne (Mac Vicar) Walsh of West Roxbury; her cherished nieces & nephews, Christopher and Brian Walsh; Erin Donovan, Joseph, Christopher and Molly Burgoyne; Patrick and Ryan Browne; and Richard Johnson; and her dear sister-in-law Gale Ann Johnson and her husband Larry of FL. In addition she is survived by her best friends Kathy Doneghey and Anne Cogavin, & numerous cousins, close and dear friends.

Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Mary's life and remember the love and friendship she shared with others at a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday morning June 3rd at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Road, Waltham at 11:30 a.m.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Mary and her family can do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday morning June 3rd prior to the funeral mass from 9am until 11am.
