Obituary for Emmanuel "E" Lys

Emmanuel "E" Lys, 32 of Washington, D.C. formerly of Waltham, MA. tragically fell victim to a violent crime. Trading life on Earth for one of peace on the morning of May 23, 2022.

Born to the late Gerald Lys and Rose' Andree Theodore on Tuesday October 17, 1989 in Port- Au- Prince, Haiti.

"E" was a strong- willed, resilient young man who had a unique ability and determination to power through tough situations. As a loving Father he knew the importance of family and was a protector to his children, sisters, and others whom he loved and cared for . Generous to a fault, his smile would lighten your burdens, inspire hope and connect you to others. He knew how to appreciate the simple things in life that most take for granted.

Predeceased by his beloved parents, Gerald Lys, and Rose A. Theodore.

"E" is survived by his Children Lucas, Leana, Lylah and their mother Felecia Marrero. His two sisters who loved him dearly Frantzces Lys and Malica Lys many aunts, uncles, other family members and friends.


Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and share in E's memory during visiting hours on Friday June 10th from 9am - 10am in The Mary Catherine Chapel Of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels, located 773 Moody Street. Followed by a Celebration of Emmanuel's Life. Parking Attendants will be on duty.

As an expression of sympathy Emmanuel's family ask that you spend time with those you love as often as you can, take moments, out of a day to spread random acts of kindness wherever you go and to whomever you meet and above all, be grateful, for each day God grants because it's truly a gift.
