Obituary for Joseph Harold Taylor Sr.
Of Waltham, passed away Saturday evening March 2nd, 2019 at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis after a long illness at the age of 87.
Born on July 24, 1931 in Newton; son of the late Joseph and Alice (Niedrid) Taylor, Joe was a lifelong resident of Waltham and spent summers on Cape Cod.
Joe had been employed as Service Technician with the SEARS Corporation retiring in 1997 after 30 years.
In his spare time Joe enjoyed gardening and landscaping, working with pigeons and on cars.
Joe is survived by his loving & devoted children Debora Dillon and her husband the late Ralph of Pennsylvania, Joseph H. Taylor Jr. and his wife Lisa of Plymouth, Linda Murphy and her husband Michael of Middleboro, and Theresa Oliveria and her husband Zartan of Worcester, his cherished granddaughters Caitlin Davis and her husband Adam, Lauren Taylor & Julia Taylor, his great grandchildren Hannah and Tyler Davis, and his dear sister Barbara McGill of Framingham and brother to the late Mary (Taylor) Corning and Herbert Taylor. Longtime companion to the late Jeanne M. Kelley.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Joseph’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Tuesday morning March 12th at 11:30 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Service from 10 – 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Parking attendants will be on duty.
