Obituary for Marcia Louise Contrino (Langill)

Marcia Louise (Langill) Contrino

Of Marshfield, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 1, 2018, after a lengthy illness, at her home. She was 77.

Born and raised in Waltham to the late Alfred Kyle Langill and Helen (Hartlen), she moved to Marlborough shortly after being married to her beloved husband the late Louis Contrino. They spent 10 years in Marlborough before moving with their family to Framingham for 20 years before retiring to Marshfield 20 years ago.

She worked for Raytheon in Waltham for many years.

Marcia was an avid reader. She read thousands of books during her life and was known to “burn out” a Kindle or two. She loved the ocean and animals, especially her daughter’s dogs. Her house was a gathering place for the family for all the holidays, parties, and other gatherings. She was a kind and generous woman, opening her home to those in need and created lasting relationships with the people she helped.

She is survived by her loving children Debora Sweet and her husband Frank of Sudbury, Lisa Contrino of Marshfield, Terri Costello of Uxbridge, and Tammy Kay of Barrington, NH, her brother Alfred Kyle Langill, Jr. and his wife Yvonne of Ashland, and her sister-in-law Jean Langill of Hudson, and her cherished grandchildren Kyle Sweet of Maynard, Eric Taft of Marshfield, Holly Biedugnis of Uxbridge, and Samantha and Rebecca Kay of NH. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Henry, Sue Ellen, and Steve Langill.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Monday, December 10, 2018 from 4 – 7 pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
