Shawn M. Rogers

Of Waltham passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his home. He was 52.

Born and raised in Waltham, he was the son of the late Harold “Sonny” Rogers, Jr. and Phyllis (Lahey) Rogers. He lived his entire life in Waltham and was a proud “Southside” resident. Shawn is the brother of the late Christine (Rogers) Saulnier. He is survived by his loving son Dakota Rogers of Waltham; his devoted brother Harold “Bud” Rogers, III and his wife Alesia, of Dracut; and 5 nieces and nephews.

Shawn held several trade jobs during his life and was a skilled plasterer. He worked for the city of Waltham doing maintenance jobs for the school department. More recently he volunteered at a local Waltham Soup Kitchen.

In his spare time, Shawn enjoyed following the local sports teams, especially the Red Sox. He also loved spending time at both York and Salisbury Beaches. Shawn enjoyed playing darts, and going on the annual “Guys Ski Weekend in Maine”. In the summer he enjoyed attending Waltham’s Concerts on the Common with his son, Dakota.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in celebration of Shawn’s life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11 am. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 10-11 am. Parking attendants will be on duty.
