Obituary for Frank C. Healey Jr.

Frank C. Healey, Jr.

Of Weston, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Wingate of Weston Nursing Home. He was 84.

Born in Waltham to the late Frank C. Healey, Sr. and Marie (Trudo) Healey, he was a very proud lifelong resident of Weston. Mr. Healey earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Boston University and his Masters of Education from Boston State College.

Franked worked at the Shrewsbury Junior High School as a World Geography and American History Teacher from 1964 to 1966. After teaching Frank became a real estate and insurance broke in the Greater Waltham Area. He later became a Security Officer for Pinkerton Security Company at New England Telephone, where he retired from.

In his spare time Frank enjoyed following Boston College, College of the Holy Cross, and Notre Dame University Football. He also liked following all of the local sports teams. Mr. Healey loved to read and learn and would read the Newspaper cover to cover every day, keeping up with all of the current events.

He was the brother of the late Weston Police Sgt. Thomas Healey and his wife Anne.

He is survived by his Nephew Thomas Healey, Jr. of Arlington, his niece Kimberly Flynn and her husband Bill of Ayer. And his grand niece Kelly Flynn of Ayer.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons, 773 Moody St., Waltham, Friday from 10 – 11 am with a Memorial service at 11 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Parking attendants will be on duty.
