Obituary for Elva Marie King (Pero)

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Friday morning February 7th, 2020 surrounded by her loving family in the Care Dimensions Hospice Home in Lincoln at the age of 91.

Born on August 6, 1928 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia; daughter of the late Jack and Rebecca Pero, Elva came to the United States in 1963 settling in Watertown for over 45 years until moving to Waltham several years ago.

Elva was a devoted & loving homemaker to her family throughout her life. Family was so important to her and she cherished the moments spent with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time she loved bowling, playing bingo and going ballroom dancing.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry David King in 1999.

Elva is survived by her devoted & loving children Raylene DiGregorio and her husband David of Waltham; Dave King and his wife Andrea of Maine; and Lisa Berdan and her husband Don Berdan of North Carolina; and her dear sister Rebecca "Bunny" DiPercio of Canada. In addition she is survived by 7 cherished grandchildren, 5 adoring great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by many brothers and sisters.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Elva's Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Tuesday afternoon Feb. 11th at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Watertown. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the service on Tuesday morning in the Mary Catherine Chapel from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
