Obituary for Diane M. Morrison
Diane M. Morrison 70,
Of Kingsport, Tennessee died Tuesday October 31st at her home after a period of prolonged illness.
Born in Waltham, Diane had been a life long resident until retiring to Kingsport 13 years ago.
She graduated Waltham High School and had been employed for many years as a Certified Technician with IBM Rolm until her retirement. Those who worked with Diane always said if they have an unsolvable problem, they would say, “Call Diane”, she had an uncanny ability to solve technical problems.
She found great joy in reading and particularly loved Poetry. When not reading she watched old time movies accept when her favorite program was on “The Golden Girls” which she related too.
She and her “Spence” would delight in their landscaping achievements, and scour Garden centers looking for ideas and unique plants.
Diane was the daughter of the late John H. & Edith L. ( Dentino ) Morrison and sister of the late Joanne Cifra.
She leaves her sisters Mrs Richard ( Jean M. ) Martin of Waltham and Miss Patricia Morrison of New Hampshire. In addition she leaves 1 niece and 2 nephews.
A Celebration of life service will be held on Sunday Afternoon November 17th at 4:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited at attend and share remembrances with Diane’s family on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Interment will be in the family lot at Mount Feake Cemetery. Flowers are appreciated or expressions of sympathy may be made in Diane’s memory to the Salvation Army, 33 Myrtle Street, Waltham, Ma. 02453. Parking attendants will be on duty.
