Charles F. "Charlie" Paone Jr.

Of Watertown, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, November 13th, 2019, at the Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge at the age of 94.

Born on October 6, 1925, in Watertown; son of the late Carmine Paone and Victoria (Terrezzano) Paone, Charlie resided for most of his life in Watertown and for a period of time in Belmont.

Charlie attended Watertown schools then joined the United States Army; he proudly served his country in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post (V.F.W.) #1272 in Belmont.

Charlie was employed as a Cabinet Maker with Waltham Millwork and Anderson & McQuaid Company throughout his life.

In his spare time he enjoyed working with his hands and building things, maintained a robust garden and had a love for nature and the outdoors. Charlie took many family trips to the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife June L. (Milley) Paone in 2015.

Charlie is survived by his devoted & loving children; Linda M. Barrile, and her husband Tom, of Walpole; Judy J. McGann and her husband David, of Burlington; and Charles F. "Chuck" Paone III and his wife Lana, of Acton; his cherished six grandchildren: Lisa (Barrile) O’Toole; Kristen Barrile; David McGann Jr.; Kerry (McGann) Howeson; Christopher Paone; and Justin Paone; his adoring six great grandchildren: Katie O'Toole, Dory O'Toole, Ashley O'Toole, Luke Holland, Caleb Holland, Jack McGann, Angelina Pierre-Parisi; and his dear brother Albert Paone.

Charlie was the brother of the late Michael Paone, Frances Fitzgerald, Celia Pellegrino, Mary Basile, Eleanor Botte and Anthony Paone.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Charlie's life from the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Tuesday morning Nov. 19th at 9:30. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Watertown. Visiting Hours will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial on Monday Nov. 18th from 3 - 7 p.m.
