Obituary for Florence P. Morabito (Lopez)
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning January 21st, 2020 at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester at the age of 94.
Born on January 31, 1925 in Waltham; daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosaria (Zagami) Lopez, Florence was a lifelong resident of Waltham.
A graduate of Waltham High School, Florence furthered her education at Mount Ida College in Newton. She was employed as a Secretary with McQueen Insurance on Moody Street in Waltham for many years.
Florence was an active and devoted parishioner of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Parish; participating in the church choir for years. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking baking, and gardening. She had been a member of the Garden Club for years.
Florence was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul Morabito and her dear siblings the late Josephine Cappadona, Mary Bethune, Felix, Stephen, Vincent, and Anthony Lopez.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services in celebration of Florence's Life from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Tuesday Jan. 28th at 8:00 with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 920 Trapelo Road, WALTHAM at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday Jan. 27th from 5 - 7 p.m.
