Obituary for Theresa M. "Terry" D'Argento (Brescia)

Mrs. Theresa Mary (Brescia) D’Argento 90,

Of West Newton passed away on Tuesday at the Newton Wellesley Hospital from a brief illness.

Born in Cambridge, Terry was raised and attended schools in Somerville until moving to Newton almost 70 years ago, where she married the love of her life the late Russell N. D'Argento.

Her late husband owned and operated the "Russell Pharmacy" located on Newton Street in Waltham prior to his retirement. For a period of time, Terry worked at Grover Cronin's department store in Waltham.

She enjoyed her time at the Newton Senior Center or a girl's day out at the Casino with friends.

If you knew Terry, she was always the gracious host and a welcome light of the family, known as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and true friend. Her most enjoyable time with family and friends was spent at her Summer home in Manomet, where she loved to entertain.

She was the daughter of the late Nicholas & Rose (Tomeo) Brescia, wife of the late Russell N. D'Argento, Mother of the late Raymond D'Argento, Sister of the late Anna Martin, sister-in-law of the late Frank D'Argento, Roy Milliken, and William Martin.

Theresa is survived by her sons, Russell & his wife JoAnne D'Argento of Hopkinton, Richard & his wife Brigette D'Argento of Jupiter, Florida, and Frank D'Argento of Newton, her grandchildren Russell, Nicole, Nicholas, Richard & Kevin. Her sister Rose Marie Milliken of Somerville. In addition, she leaves many Nieces and Nephews.

Private family services will be held in the "Mary Catherine Chapel" of the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street Waltham. Interment will be in the family lot at Newton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105
