To Dany and the rest of Marcel's family I offer my deepest sympathy and condolences. Anyone from the Waltham area that "swung a hammer" knew Marcel. He was legendary in the roofing business. He gave me work at a time in my life when I needed it. He was a classy guy. I am so sorry that I just heard of his passing and was unable to be with you. I will always remember Marcel.

The year Marcel's oldest brother, Felicien, also my father, passed away Uncle Marcel invited me down with my best friend to Cape Cod. Obviously it had been one of the worst years of my life but Uncle Marcel made it all better with his welcoming smile and hospitality! He, Lucille and the girls welcomed us with open arms spoiling us for the 3 days we stayed there. To my great surprise, a company to which I applied to for a job tracked me down and told me I had the job! Uncle Marcel said its because he brought me good luck and indeed he did. He was easy to love and he adored my dad which made him even more loveable. For me, I think I get my joie de vive from the Fortins. Thank you Uncle Marcelxxx

My deepest condolences to the entire Fortin family. Marcel was without a doubt one of the most colorful and entertaining humans I have ever encountered. His stories and the stories Suzy would post about him on FB always made me laugh. He leaves behind a beautiful family. My heart breaks for all of you. I'm sure the Silver Fox is taking the Pearly Gates by Storm! Rest in Peace Frenchie.
