 Creating Meaningful Memories

Many families choose to personalize their funeral service or have a theme for visitation. We have many items available to assist you with personalizing the funeral service or visitation. Please feel free to inquire with the Funeral Counselor that is assisting you with your arrangements.

Just a few of the available are listed below. If you have specific requests that are not listed, please feel free to discuss this with your funeral counselor.

The Living Frame -- This is a collection of your families favorite photographs put on DVD for continuous viewing during visitation and the DVD taken home with the family after services.

The Memorial Portrait -- We can arrange to have a picture made into a quality reproduction for the visitation or memorial service within 24 hours.

"The Irish Wake" -- Items such as connaughmara marble rosaries, connaughmara crucifix or cross, Celtic Cross, Irish Keepsake Candles,Wild Irish Flower Portrait Frames, Hand Hammered Copper Crosses & Claddagh's, Celtic Cross & Shamrock Casket Overlays and Flowers with Shamrocks.

"I Remember When" -- This is a specific book of memories to be displayed during Visitation or memorial services, where family and friends may inscribe their most treasured memory of your loved one.

A white dove release at the gravesite or memorial service with a reading of your choice is an inspirational and symbolic tribute to the person who has passed away.  When the doves are released, they rise towards the heavens and begin their journey home.

Balloon releases are mostly held at the end of a graveside service on the cemetery grounds. This is a meaningful way to bring closure to a graveside service. Family and friends each release a balloon into the air quite often with a prayer. Releasing balloons can symbolize many things such as sending prayers and messages to Heaven, the soul taking flight to Heaven, or a sign of letting go of grief.

When scattering ashes over a body of water a water-soluble urn can enhance the experience. These urns are specifically designed to gradually disperse the ashes back to the sea. Ashes can be cast directly into the water. A water-soluble urn will usually float for several minutes then slowly sink where it will degrade or melt back to the sea. The survivors will often toss flowers or petals as a final tribute as the urn slowly drifts away. There are professionals with boats available that will do either private water scatterings or create an event were the survivors may voyage and participate. You can contact Brasco & Sons Memorial to set this up in your area.
