Bob always treated me right. One time I was trying to buy a car and it was Sunday and the banks were closed. I wanted to put a down payment on the used vehicle and I was going to get the balance to the owner on Monday when I could get to the bank. I told Bob what was going on and he just asked me how much I would need. I told him and he dug into some kind of crevice in that old wallet of his and handed me some money. "Pay me when you can." is all he said. That is the type of guy Bob was. Besides my Dad, Bob Yorston was the driving force that pushed me to study and take promotional exams for the Fire Department.
